Once the semester begins, the process of changing the student's course schedule is referred to as dropping/adding courses. Please refer to the University Registrar page for more information on current Late Add and Drop policies and procedures.

Note: The final grade of the course must be a "C" or higher in order to transfer. Also, grades of transfer credits do not count towards your GPA.
Make a request in 'Update Academics' in LionPATH to change to another Penn State location. A "Change of Assignment" does not happen as a result of choosing a major. "Change of Assignment" and choosing a major are two distinct processes.

For all majors: Contact the program chair for those majors on our campus. A change of major is performed in LionPATH under "Update Academics."
In most cases, majors are declared during your fourth semester through a process known as the Entrance to Major (ETM). Contact your adviser for details. After speaking with an adviser go into LionPATH and Update academics to make your request.

Most of the time, yes, you can. When you are ready to return to the University, complete a Re-Enrollment form and submit it to the Registrar's Office. You can also change your major when you re-enroll. Contact your adviser or the Registrar's Office at the campus you wish to re-enroll for details.
Academic renewal (policy 54-90) provides an opportunity for former students to resume their academic career without being penalized by their past academic record. Contact an adviser in the Academic Advising Center to discuss if this option is right for you.
When students fail to make adequate progress towards meeting and maintaining a 2.00 grade-point average as required for graduation, various academic progress statuses are used to serve as notification of such failure and to assist the students in correcting their academic difficulties. Cumulative credits include the number of credits scheduled at Penn State for a letter grade, even if a final grade of an "F" is earned.
All grades, including "D" and "F", remain on your transcript. If the course is repeated, the higher grade will also appear on the transcript with a notation stating that the course was repeated. See Also: grade forgiveness
Check LionPATH and click to "Grades" or "Mail Semester Grades." Request for a paper copy of current semester grades must be completed before final exam period starts.
Visit LionPath, select "Degree Planning and Progress" and click the "Apply for Graduation" link within the My Academics page in the LionPATH Student Center.
